Simon Falkiner


Simon is a farmer and researcher from near Geelong in Victoria. Simon combines running his own mixed farming enterprise with managing Murdeduke Angus, a business that specialises in seedstock production which uses advanced (IVF) cattle reproduction and pasture management programs to produce 250 Angus bulls annually. Murdeduke also turns off 4000 prime lambs, crops 1800 hectares and producers 30,000 range bred pigs.

Passionate about agriculture and its possibilities, Simon is a keen supporter of research and innovation as he sees it as essential to the development of profitable, flexible and environmentally sustainable businesses and rural communities.

Simon is a winner of the 2017 Australian Governments, Innovation in Land Management Victorian Award and the 2019 AORA’s, Producer demonstrating Innovation and Advocacy in Agricultural Markets Award.
