David has been with MLA for nearly two years, originally as the National Adoption Manager for Genetics, and now the Program Manager for Adoption. Previously, David spent 11 years in the livestock animal health sector in both R&D and commercial roles, and was most recently responsible for the adoption and marketing of cattle and sheep portfolios. David holds a Bachelor of Rural Science.
David has worked hands on across the livestock and cropping sectors and continues to run a small family livestock partnership. David's experience allows him to have a unique understanding of research through to on-farm implementation. He is passionate about the integration of adoption into applied research programs, and the importance of producers, advisors and other stakeholders in the development and implementation of research.
