Andrew was born and raised in a small country town in Southern NSW. He has always had a strong interest in livestock and started breeding White Suffolk sheep in 1995. Andrew studied Veterinary Science at Charles Sturt University. After graduating, Andrew worked in a mixed animal Veterinary Clinic at Tallangatta in Victoria’s North East, with particular focus on both beef and dairy.
Andrew joined Livestock Logic in 2012. He also runs a number of group programs through the Best Wool Best Lamb network and Lifetime Ewe Management Programs. The parasitology and nutrition services that Livestock Logic offer - in combination with veterinary training - allow Andrew to give relevant animal health and production advice to sheep and cattle producers in Southern Australia. Andrew still maintains a veterinary role routinely carrying out disease investigations of sheep and cattle as well as pregnancy testing/scanning of cattle. Andrew currently runs 1700 ewes and trades 3-400 weaner cattle on his property south of Hamilton which provides him with great practical experience when dealing with clients.
